If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us using the details above.

1. What personal data we collect

We collect data in the following ways: a) When you fill in our booking or contact form Our forms are built using Tally, a third-party form provider. Depending on the form, Tally collects: • Name and contact details (email, and mobile number if provided) • What you’d like a reading about, or your enquiry • Any optional details you choose to add b) When you pay for a reading Payment is collected via Stripe, embedded directly in our Tally booking form, before your video slot is confirmed or your email reading is prepared. When you enter your card details, you’re providing them directly to Stripe via their secure payment page; we do not see or store your full card number, expiry date or CVC. We receive limited confirmation data (that payment was successful, the amount, and a transaction reference) so we can fulfil your booking. c) When you book a video reading After paying, you’re taken to Calendly, a third-party scheduling platform, to choose an available appointment slot. Calendly collects your name, contact details, chosen appointment date and time, and booking history. Booking a slot automatically generates a Zoom meeting link, sent with your confirmation — see Section 5 for what Zoom involves. d) When you book an email reading After paying, you’re simply returned to our homepage. Your written reading is prepared using the details from your Tally form and sent to you by email — no Calendly or Zoom is involved. e) If you provide a mobile number We may use this to send you occasional marketing messages via WhatsApp after your reading — see Section 3. f) When you browse our website We use Google Fonts to display our website's typography, which may involve your device requesting font files directly from Google's servers (fonts.gstatic.com). We also use Google Tag Manager, a tag management tool that lets us add or update tracking and marketing tags on our website. Google Tag Manager itself does not collect personal data or set cookies — it's a delivery mechanism for other tags. If we configure a specific analytics or advertising tag within it (for example, Google Analytics), we'll update this policy to name that tool and explain what it collects before it goes live. We do not intentionally collect any special category data (e.g. health, religious belief, sexual orientation) as part of providing readings. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal details beyond what’s necessary for your reading.

2. How we use your data

We use your personal data to: • Respond to your enquiry and provide the reading you’ve booked • Process your booking and take payment via Stripe • Arrange and deliver your reading — by email, or by scheduling and hosting a video call via Calendly and Zoom • Send you occasional marketing messages via WhatsApp, if you’ve provided a mobile number (see Section 3) • Keep basic records for accounting, tax and legal compliance • Improve our website and service • Prevent fraud and misuse of our service We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. Marketing messages (WhatsApp)

WhatsApp is not used to deliver our service — all booking confirmations and reading-related messages are sent by email. If you’ve given us a mobile number, we may separately use WhatsApp (provided by Meta) to send you occasional marketing messages after your reading, such as news and offers. How to opt out: you can stop these messages at any time by emailing hello@odetowisdom.com. We’ll action opt-out requests promptly. Important note on WhatsApp and data location: WhatsApp is operated by Meta Platforms, Inc./Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. Messages sent via WhatsApp are processed in line with Meta’s own privacy policy, and may be transferred outside the UK/EEA as part of Meta’s global infrastructure. See Section 7 for more on international transfers.

4. Payment (Stripe) and video scheduling (Calendly)

Payment: all readings are paid for via Stripe, embedded directly in our Tally booking form. When you enter your card details at checkout, you’re providing them directly to Stripe via their secure payment page; we do not receive or store your full card number, expiry date or CVC. We receive limited confirmation data (that payment was successful, the amount, and a transaction reference) so we can confirm your booking. Stripe is a certified PCI-DSS Level 1 service provider — see stripe.com/gb/privacy. Video scheduling: for video readings only, once payment is complete you’ll be taken to Calendly, a third-party scheduling platform, to choose an available appointment slot. Calendly collects your name, contact details, chosen appointment date, time and reading type, and booking history. See calendly.com/privacy. Email readings do not use Calendly — after payment you’re simply returned to our homepage.

5. Video readings via Zoom

Where you choose a video reading, this is delivered over Zoom. Booking your video reading through Calendly automatically generates a Zoom meeting link, which is sent to you along with your booking confirmation. Using Zoom for your reading may involve: • Your name and email address (used to send you the meeting link) • Standard meeting metadata (e.g. join/leave times) • Audio and video during the call itself We do not record readings unless we’ve told you in advance and you’ve agreed. Zoom is operated by Zoom Video Communications, Inc. For details, see Zoom’s privacy policy (explore.zoom.us/en/privacy).

6. Who we share your data with

We share personal data only with the following categories of third party, and only as needed to run our service: • Tally — to collect booking and contact form submissions (see Section 1) • Stripe — to process payment (see Section 4) • Calendly — to manage video appointment scheduling, for video readings only (see Section 4) • Zoom — to deliver video readings (see Section 5) • Meta / WhatsApp — to send optional marketing messages, only if you’ve provided a mobile number (see Section 3) • Google (Google Fonts, Google Tag Manager) — to display our website's typography and manage website tags (see Section 1) • Netlify, Inc. — to host our website • Professional advisers (accountant, solicitor) where necessary • Law enforcement or regulators, where we’re legally required to We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7. International data transfers

Some of the third parties listed above (notably Meta/WhatsApp, Tally, Calendly, Zoom, Stripe and Google) are based in, or transfer data to, the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers have in place — such as the UK’s International Data Transfer Addendum, Standard Contractual Clauses, or an approved adequacy mechanism — to ensure your data continues to be protected to UK standards.

8. How long we keep your data

• Enquiry/form data (via Tally) where no booking follows: retained for 12 months, then deleted. • Booking and payment records: retained for 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting obligations. • WhatsApp marketing messages: your mobile number is retained for as long as you remain opted in, plus a reasonable period afterwards as evidence of consent (or its withdrawal), then deleted. • Zoom meeting data: meeting metadata retained for 12 months; we do not retain video/audio recordings unless you’ve been told otherwise and agreed (see Section 5).

9. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten"), in certain circumstances • Restrict how we use your data • Object to processing based on legitimate interests, or to direct marketing at any time • Data portability — receive your data in a portable format, where applicable • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent (e.g. WhatsApp marketing) To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@odetowisdom.com. We’ll respond within one month, as required by law. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator: Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF ico.org.uk | Helpline: 0303 123 1113 We’d appreciate the chance to resolve any concern directly first — please contact us before escalating to the ICO if you’re comfortable doing so.

10. Children’s data

Our service is intended for adults only (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Cookies

We use Google Tag Manager, which does not itself set cookies but is capable of loading other tags that do. We are not currently running any cookie-setting tags through it. If that changes, we'll update this section and, where required, add a cookie consent option before those cookies are set. If you use our embedded booking widget (Tally), that third-party service may set its own cookies in line with its own privacy policy — see tally.so/privacy for details.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example if we change how we use WhatsApp, our booking system, our video call provider, or our payment provider. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. We’ll highlight significant changes where appropriate.
