TERMS

Terms of service

LAST UPDATED JULY 2026

Please read these terms carefully before using our website or booking a reading with Ode to Wisdom ("we", "us", "our"). By submitting our contact form, messaging us, or booking a reading, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

Ode to Wisdom is a psychic reading service based in Northern Ireland, providing private one-to-one readings by message, phone or video. Ode to Wisdom 12 Lakeland Manor Grove, Northern Ireland, BT26 6SW hello@odetowisdom.com Operated as a sole trader — no company registration number.

2. Age restriction

Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over only. By using our website or booking a reading, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking if we have reason to believe this isn’t the case.

3. The nature of our service

For entertainment purposes only. Readings provided by Ode to Wisdom are offered for entertainment and personal insight. They are not a substitute for professional advice. • We are psychic readers, not mediums — our readings do not involve, and do not claim to involve, contact with people who have passed away. • We do not guarantee any specific outcome, prediction, or result from a reading. • Nothing said during a reading should be relied upon as medical, legal, financial, or professional advice. If you need advice in any of these areas, please consult a qualified, regulated professional. • Readings reflect the personal insight and interpretation of the reader and are not a statement of fact. • You should make your own decisions about your life, relationships, career, health, finances and legal matters, using your own judgement, and are responsible for those decisions. By booking a reading, you acknowledge and accept the above.

4. How booking works

1. You fill in our booking form (powered by Tally) with your details and the type of reading you’d like. 2. Payment is taken securely via Stripe, built into the same form, before your booking is confirmed. 3. Video readings: after payment, you’ll be taken to our scheduler (Calendly) to choose an available slot. Your reading then takes place over a video call (Zoom) at that time. 4. Email readings: after payment, you’ll be returned to our homepage, and your written reading will be sent to you by email. Video bookings are for a specific time slot — availability depends on the reader’s schedule shown at the time of booking. Email readings are not instant, but are prepared and sent as soon as reasonably possible after payment.

5. Pricing and payment

• Current prices for each type of reading are shown in the booking form at the time of booking. • Payment is taken via Stripe as part of our Tally booking form, before your video slot is confirmed or your email reading is prepared. • We do not store your full card details — these are handled directly and securely by Stripe. See our Privacy Policy for more detail. • All prices are in GBP (£) and include any applicable taxes, unless stated otherwise.

6. Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds

• Rescheduling: you may reschedule your booking up to 24 hours before your appointment, via your booking confirmation or by contacting us. • Cancellations by you: if you cancel more than 24 hours before your appointment, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment are non-refundable. • Cancellations by us: if we need to cancel or reschedule your reading (for example, due to illness or an emergency), we will offer you a full refund or the option to rebook at a time that suits you. • No-shows: if you do not attend your scheduled reading and haven’t contacted us in advance, no refund will be given. Your statutory rights: nothing in this section affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, bookings for services carried out on a specific date or at a specific time (such as a scheduled reading) are generally exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right that applies to most online purchases. Even so, the cancellation and refund terms set out above will always apply to your booking.

7. Communications and marketing

By contacting us or booking a reading, you agree that we may message you by email regarding your enquiry or booking (confirmations, your email reading itself, and related service messages). If you’ve provided a mobile number, we may also send you occasional marketing messages by WhatsApp — such as news and offers — following your reading. You can opt out of these at any time by emailing hello@odetowisdom.com. See our Privacy Policy for details. Standard message and data rates from your provider may apply, depending on your plan.

8. Client conduct

We ask that you treat our reader(s) with respect and courtesy. We reserve the right to decline a booking, end a reading early, or refuse future service to anyone who is abusive, threatening, or otherwise behaves inappropriately, without obligation to provide a refund for the affected reading.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law: • We provide our service with reasonable care and skill, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. • We are not liable for any decisions you make, or actions you take, based on a reading — readings are for entertainment and personal insight only, as set out in Section 3. • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of our service. • Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under UK law. • We are not responsible for issues arising from third-party services we rely on (such as our booking platform or Stripe) that are outside our reasonable control, though we will do what we reasonably can to help resolve any such issue.

10. Intellectual property

All content on our website — including text, design, logos and the "Ode to Wisdom" name and branding — belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without our permission.

11. Privacy

Our use of your personal data — including data collected via our website, booking platform, and Stripe — is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

12. Complaints

If you’re unhappy with your reading or any aspect of our service, please contact us at hello@odetowisdom.com and we’ll do our best to resolve things. We aim to respond to complaints within 5 working days.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time — for example, to reflect a change in our booking process, pricing, or payment provider. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows the most recent version. Continuing to use our service after changes are published means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
